While some people don't want to know anything about suffering, we are many who need and want information about it. But where are we supposed to get information? In medicine? In psychology? In religion? In social sciences?

Well, those sources and many others may be valuable, but the fact is that there is not yet a central place where knowledge is accumulated on the phenomenon of suffering as such. Algosphere proposes that be developed a new discipline especially concerned with suffering, algonomy.

This site wishes to offer new ways to access relevant information, in the spirit of an algonomic approach. The following is a beginning.
